November 07 Harriman Research Focus...
The past few months has seen a flurry of activity in research on the line of John Harriman1, brother of Leonard1 of Rowley MA. If there is anyone that has access to the probate records of Morris County, New Jersey, it would be a great help to look up all Harriman/Herriman probate records. Thanks to HFA member Paula Radwanski, we now have a copy of the will of John Harriman (c.1710-c.1772) of Morris County NJ, husband of Miriam Blackman/Blockman, but there are many more probate records that could be extracted for clarifiation on the Harriman/Herriman families in Morris County. June Caley has sent the HFA a copy of the bible record that details the family of David (1785-1834) and Hannah (Hicks) Harriman/Herriman, also of Morris County NJ. We are very unsure of the parentage of either Jacob or David Harriman. Probate or deeds research may help considerably in establishing lineage.
