Directions:
From Massachusetts (South) Take Route 495 to Route 95 (NH/Maine). Continue on Route 95N to Exit #44 (South Portland/Downtown Portland) onto Route 295N, go 28.3 miles. Take Route 295 Exit #28 (Coastal Route US-1/Brunswick/Bath), through Brunswick for 1.3 miles. Continue on Route 1N, for another 1.2 miles. Turn Left on Mill Street/Blue Star Mem. Hwy. (US Route 1). For 8.4 miles. Follow Route 1N for a mile (Leeman Hwy). Turn Left on Washington Street. Turn Right on Summer Street. Library area is on your left at 33 Summer St..
Lodging:
Holiday Inn – 139 Western Ave, Bath, ME. (Off Route 1 in Bath, right before the center of town - maybe a mile from the Library) 207-443-9741. This hotel also has a restaurant in the hotel. Price Range: ~$100/night
Hampton Inn – 100 Commercial Street, Bath, ME (In the center of Bath and within a block of the li-brary. Can also see the water from this location.) Brand new hotel - just opened in June of 2010. Price Range: ~$190/night.
Bed & Breakfast: They are so very different and individual, if you Google “Bed & Break-fast Bath Maine” you get a bunch to choose from. Price Range: Varies: $200-$300/night.
